Being diagnosed with AF in 2016 and then further finding a missed congenital defect which needed open heart surgery I downloaded this app prior to surgery in 2016. I found a beat or two different compared to hospital machines which is very very good. Having various complications after surgery this App helped me when my heart rate went fast, skipped beats, paused and even during Bradycardia which subsequently needed a Pacemaker. For me since 2016 this App has helped give me so much information to back up how I was feeling and it’s accuracy has been consistent.
Recently diagnosed with HCM hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. As we were working on getting the right meds for me I started having SVT supraventricular tachycardia. I had my heart restarted 6 times at the ER with adenosine. Oh what joy to hear yourself flatline, or hear the person next to you die. I was in the ICU area of the ER. A nurse apologized for me having to hear that happen but it is a part of life. To this day SVT happens. I use this app to confirm the heart rate and try the vagal maneuver to reset the heart. The vagal maneuver works along with this app showing me when I need to start the maneuver!! This app is a true lifesaver!! Thank you
I love how accurate it always is. I’ve used it at my doctors office while they were taking my bp and heart rate and it always matches what reading they get. I’ve also compared the accuracy at the blood pressure machines at pharmacies. I’ve always used it on an iPhone but I’m pretty sure as long as your phone has a good camera it will take very accurate readings. I’ve literally compared the results side by side of other actual medical instruments for BP and pulse and it’s never one time been different. I highly recommend if you want to keep an eye on your heart rate!
I was having a panic attack that was mostly physical, and was experiencing some chest pains and shaking. I kept checking my pulse with my fingers, and it was rapid, but I couldn’t pinpoint it. I got nervous and downloaded this app, which read me at 121 bpm, and then 146 bpm. A part of me wondered if the app was lying, but to the emergency room I went. ...Where my bpm escalated to 180, and I had to have chemical cardioversion to restart my heart. So, needless to say, this is a pretty helpful app. I don’t know if I’d even be here had I not downloaded it. Thanks for making such a simple, helpful app.
