A rainbow of green kiwi and strawberry smoothies make a delightfully delicious smoothie. Each smoothie may be served individually. Choose Greek yogurt as it contains less sugar and more protein. Kiwi and Strawberry Smoothie from Holly Clegg’s Eating Well Through Cancer cookbook
Makes 4 servings (3/4 cup kiwi layer and 1/2 cup strawberry layer)
Kiwi Smoothie
3 kiwis
1 banana
1/3 cup nonfat vanilla Greek yogurt
1 cup baby spinach
1 cup skim milk
1. In food processor or blender, blend all ingredients until smooth.
2. Pour 3/4 cup Kiwi Smoothie in glass. Top with 1/2 cup Strawberry Smoothie. Serve immediately.
Strawberry Smoothie
1 1/2 cups frozen strawberries (unsweetened)
1 banana
1 cup skim milk
1. In food processor or blender, blend all ingredients until smooth.
